Determine when you can finish your Market Case
Use the calculator tool to estimate when you can finish your market case.
There is a calculator tool to help Blueprinting project teams to determine when they can expect to finish their market case.
Please follow the following steps to perform this task.
Select the "hamburger" menu:
Select the project start date as well as the goal date that you'd like to complete your Market Case by:
Select "Team and Timeline."
Note the "Timeline" in the upper right-hand corner. This will tell you if you are currently on-track to meet the goal.
If not, note the Timeline Adjustments which take other factors into account:
Ability to secure interviews: Rate this as "Good," "Moderate," or "Poor." If you have good customer relationships and are planning on virtual interviews, this is likely "Good." If you don't have good customer relationships or expect a lot of work to get these appointments, then select "Poor."
#Discovery Interviews planned: The more interviews that you have to do, the more work there will be.
Responsiveness of team members: Rated as "Good," "Moderate," or "Poor."
Preference Interviews we'll schedule during each DI: Rated as "None," "Some," or "All." There is a great opportunity to speed up a project by making arrangements with a customer to do either a Preference Survey or a Preference Interview at the conclusion of a Discovery Interview.
Percent of all interviews given via web conference: Rated in different ranges, the more total interviews that are given virtually, the faster a project will go.
Do yourself a favor, use this calculator to gain a realistic timeframe of when you will have a Market Case, ready to move forward within your product development process.
